The Scream of Generations ~ Past

In 2023 I began my Shamanic Journey with Geetu Thackur and every time she takes us on a journey, I find something - that cannot be just noted in simple sentences. She makes one want to express through art, through motions, through words. The expressions can be crude, incomplete, not defined by logic and guidelines; but the need to do it without the fear of outcome, being present and having it out there, the true freedom of expression - this space is provided by Geetu and her tribe.

During a discussion about expressions that led to letting out a loud scream, I realized, I couldn't do it. A silent scream, a suppressed one, can do but not more than that. While I work on that vocally, this is an expression of the same through an art and a poem. Grateful for Geetu and Geetu's Tribe for letting me find the lost and the hidden pieces of me.
Each journey with Geetu doesn’t just take me inward—it peels back layers I didn’t know I was holding. In that safe, wild, and sacred space, I’m reminded that healing doesn’t always look polished, and expression doesn’t always need words. Sometimes, it’s a tear that isn’t wiped away. Sometimes, it’s a colour that spills off the edge of the page. Sometimes, it’s the courage to admit that the scream hasn’t come yet—but the body remembers, and the soul is learning to make space for it.
This path isn’t linear. It’s not always loud. But it’s mine. And I’m finally learning to walk it—in art, in breath, and in truth.
Thank you, Geetu. Thank you, Tribe. For holding the mirror, and for holding me.
